These vintage Picture Post magazines are a wonderful resource of news and contemporary thought - giving insight to the news, politics and current affairs of the world. There are articles and lots of pictures, and these war-time issues are particularly interesting! And the advertisements are great, too.

In this issue:
  • Cover: Lloyd George Holds His 80th Birthday Party
  • What’s Happening to the German Army in Russia?
  • After Four Years: The Dancing Years Gets a New Dance - Keith Lester and Joan Innes, Muriel Barron, Dunstan Hart, Olive Gilbert, Ivor Novello
  • The BBC Broadcasts the World’s Greatest Novel, War and Peace by V. S. Pritchett - Lydia Lopokova, Frederick Lloyd, Celia Johnson, Peter Miller-Street
  • Six Pretty Faces Fill A New York Night Club for Three Years
  • Lloyd George Has His 80th Birthday Party
  • Military Necessity? By Edward Hulton

The magazine is large format, measuring appoximately 35cm by 26cm, with 24 pages

Condition: The magazine is in good condition, showing reading wear and some creasing to the covers & some damage to the edge of the cover at the spine, plus the paper is fragile and tanned with age and the staples have rusted. Given that the magazine is around 75 years old, its condition is pretty good, but certainly not perfect! The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns, and if you’d like any further information, just ask!
