This tea cup, saucer and side plate trio was made by Minton in their Grey Cameo pattern, featuring a simple design of white stylised leaves and flowers in white on a grey ground, white cup handle and foot, white inside the cup, and white in the centre of the saucer and plate. All pieces are finished with silver line trims. 

All pieces have a red double "S" alongside the printed marks indicating that they were considered to be seconds quality, and the plate and saucer have the impressed date of manufacture underneath: 5-59 for May 1959. There is a smudge on one cup where the white raised transfer pattern has been applied, and the grey ground varies very slightly from one piece to another - some pieces are lighter grey than others. If you buy just one trio, I'll make sure the grey matches on all pieces.

The cup is 6 cms (2.5 inches) tall and 9 cms (3.5 inches) in diameter across the mouth; the saucer is 14.5 cms (5.75 inches) in diameter; and the plate is 16 cms (6.25 inches) in diameter. The trio weighs 460 grams before packaging.

The pieces have no chips, cracks or crazing, and very light surface wear. Please note that they were considered to be seconds quality by Mintons.
