Up for sale is a very large rare antique hand turned wooden mortar and pestle.
It carved and turned by hand out of a very dense, heavy natural articulated pieces of wood that has acquired a lovely patina from age.
The matching pestle is nicely turned as well.
The mortar measures 8 7/8 inches tall by 8 1/2 inches wide.
The pestle measures 10 3/4 inches long by 3 inches wide.
It is in very nice condition, there is a small edge chip on the rim.
