Vintage 1940s handmade silk novelty print dress by Antonini Libera of Livorno, Italy. The light mint green background is scattered with images of old fashioned ladies under stylized trees - looks almost Asian. Classic 40s styling with large padded shoulders, cutaway collar, draped sleeves and draped front peplum that has attached ties in back. Comes with detached self-fabric belt that has a 2-sided Bakelite buckle in the shape of elongated hearts with metal hearts dangling from the bottom. Belt is larger than the dress waist but could easily be made smaller - it is shown draped across the hips and tucked under the attached ties in back. Side metal zipper has a new pull but zipper is original. Shown on our size 4 dress form, fits well.
