The 1928 UK halfcrown obverse features the bare
head of King George V facing left, with the legend:
'GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX'
The reverse shows a shield with royal cypher to either
side. Shield quadrants represent members of the
United Kingdom: 3 lions for England,
1 lion for Scotland, and a harp for Northern Ireland.
This design is surrounded by a legend reading
'FID DEF IND IMP' above, with 'HALF CROWN' and
the date below.
