This listing is for an Uber-Rare 1928 "Underground" by Anthony Asquith in its AMERICAN PREMIERE shown at the 5th Ave Playhouse 66 Fifth Avenue NYC beginning 02/23/1928.

Anthony Asquith's Underground (1928) is part thriller, part time capsule: a riveting film from one of the silent era's most ambitious British directors, and an intriguing portrait of 1920s London. Source: The Guardian

Underground was made by British Instructional Films at Elstree and Cricklewood Studios and on location in London including scenes shot at Lots Road Power Station in Chelsea. The film was based on an original scenario written by Asquith. Source: Wikipedia

The program measures 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" on tan paper folded in half. It is in excellent condition having no tears, stain or wear.  I have not found another original copy of this material to compare.

The discovery of an original program of an AMERICAN PREMIERE of this landmark British made film is unparalleled to early film ephemera collectors.
