This is a very pretty antique frame. It's gilt over, I believe, brass. It's from a home which was decorated between 1920 and 1930, so I'm assuming that it's from that time. It's old, but it's in near-mint condition.

The design is as you see it--ornate and attractive.
It's 4 7/8" high and 3 3/4" wide.
The front opening is 2" x 2 3/4"
The back opening is 2 1/4" x 2 3/4"
Your photo would slide in the back and the opening for that is 2" x 2 3/8"

The photo is held in place by two little gold bars, which do not move so you have to apply a thick backing. No glass.

Two conditions issues are shown in the photos. On the front left, there's a tiny crack. On the back, there's a tiny crack which does not carry through to the front. In that area, the gilt has come off a little.

At the top, there is a little hole. You would just attach it to the wall with an ordinary little nail--the front design hides the nail.
