This is 100% original New AMD WX4130 2GB WX4150 4GB MXM GDDR5 Video Card 109-C98581-00_02
PCB is 109-C98581-00_02. VER:1.1
This card is a modded one, and pre-flashed VBIOS for
iMac 11,2 A1311 21.5 inch Mid 2010 (Tested)
iMac 11,3 A1312 27 inch Mid 2010 (Tested)
iMac 12,1 A1311 21.5 inch Mid 2011 (Tested)
iMac 12,2 A1312 27 inch Mid 2011 (Tested)
( Use other system at your own risk, and no warranty)
If you buy for 27 inch iMac 11,3 and iMac 12,2, you can't use it for 21.5 inch iMac 11,2 and 12,1. Similarly, a modded 21.5 inch iMac 11,2 and 12,1 card can't work with 27 inch iMac 11,3 or iMac 12,2.
If you mind the mod condition, please don't buy.
Known features:
- boot screen with OpenCore
- brightness control working
- GPU power management working
- needs High Sierra or better (AMD support)
- Metal Supported
- Monterey supported
- VDA decoder failed
known issues with High Sierra
- Using High Sierra the GOP vBIOS disables the internal LCD on power on. There is no software fix for this bug.
- Work around: Use an additional external display on boot. You can just use a miniDP emulator stick (recommended)
You will not get the internal LCD switched on unless you connect an external display to the miniDP ports close to the earthnet ports.
know issues with Monterey 12.3+
- all old WiFi devices stopped working!
- solution: hardware upgrade with BCM94360CD or use latest OCLP 0.4.5+ and apply WiFi post install patches and set Wi-Fi manually
- even supported BT and WiFi devices work unstable
- it is the issue of OCLP and Monterey, not WX4130 WX 4150 graphics, don't dispute for the Wi-Fi problem if you use Monterey.
- Big Sur doesn't has Wi-Fi issue (recommend).
How to assemble?
- for iMac 11,2 and 12,1 (A1311 21.5 inch Mid 2010 / 2011)
-no heatsink modification needed.
-additional copper plate between GPU and copper part of heatsink will be better for cooling (size 15mm x 15mm x 0.5mm thickness, I will ship one piece with the card)
-If you have a no-power situation, mask off the exposed capacitors on the card to avoid shorts when installing the GPU in the heatsink.
- for iMac 11,3 and iMac 12,2 (A1312 27 inch, Mid 2010 / 2011)
- The GPU is flat, does barely get into contact with the copper part of the sink and needs an additional copper plate to bridge this gap (size 15mm x 15mm x 0.8mm thickness, I will ship one piece with the card). Check visually after premounting it using a light. Put it directly on the CPU using thermal paste on both sides to guarantee optimal heat transfer from the GPU to the copper plate and down to the heat sink.
- Recommand 2 pipe half-height heatsink, and mask off the exposed capacitors on the card to avoid shorts. If you use the 3 pipe big heatsink, you need to clean all the old thermal gel, and use new thermal gel on VRAMs, and pay more attention on assembly. Contact me for details.
- iMac 12,2 with old graphcis AMD HD6970M 1G / 2G, must buy a new X-bracket too.
