Mikoyan MiG-29 Fulcrum - Multi-Role Fighter (Airlife)

The MiG-29 was developed to meet a requirement for a fighter that could destroy any enemy in air combat and also have a ground-attack capability.  The first prototype flew in 1977 and the aircraft entered operational service in 1983.  It has been a great success and over 500 are believed to be in service with the Russian Air Force, whilst others have been exported to Bulgaria, Cuba, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Poland and Malaysia etc.

The book is based on documents supplied by Mikoyan, interviews with design and engineering employees of the company, and all available information that has been published on the aircraft.  It contains development history, operational service, technical details and explanations of each model in the range.  Technical drawings abound and there are many colour and monotone photographs throughout the book.  This is the ultimate reference to this successful fighter.

Medium hardback format, 228 pages, with many b&w and colour photographs throughout
