Twin and Earth Electrical Cable is the most common cable used for domestic wiring.  This cable has met all the industry and governmental safety guidelines and standards for cables, including the BS 6004:2012 standard.  It is BASEC Approved.  It is UKAS Certified.  It is CE Marked. 

Cable Construction

The live and neutral are individually insulated and the earth is bare.  The Live and Neutral are insulated in blue/brown coloured PVC insulation.  The overall bundle of wires is insulated in a grey PVC outer casing.  The 10mm cable is constructed of stranded copper conductive wires.

Common Cable Uses

                                10mm is most commonly used for very high powered appliances such as showers.                                      

Safety information

This cable is suitable for indoor use only.  It is not suitable for use outdoors as UV light can degrade the insulation coating.
