Overview

35th Anniversary Micro WEBBiT – Special Edition Kit to celebrate 35 years of Steve Webb Models

The WEBBiT design first appeared in the early 90’s. The 40-inch span kit was designed and manufactured by Peter Kent of the Miniature Aircraft Factory & Steve Webb Himself. Designed for a 15-size engine it was intended to be a small field flyer and at 40-inch span the concept took flight. The WEBBiT even had a solo spot at Sandown 1994, with Paul Heckles hovering it in front of him, nose vertical on an Enya 15 BB TN. The kit enjoyed a popular status before the explosion of cheap ARTF kits.

Eventually, the original WEBBiT kit ceased production only to appear briefly in 2012 with a limited supply run of WEBBiT Mk2 kits. Appearing to satisfy the mass build demand on the RCME Model Flying Forum. The kit also raised money for Arthritis Research, with over £700 raised from kit sales.

The new limited supply run of the Micro WEBBiT 3.0 has been developed in association with ScaleMeDown. This version of the WEBBiT celebrates 35 years of Steve Webb Models and takes full advantage of the modern medium of laser cutting. Taking all the best features from the larger WEBBiT kits and shrinking them down to work on a micro scale. The Micro WEBBiT 3.0 is another chapter in the WEBBiT story and a piece of Steve Webb Models history that you can take home today.

The construction video below by ScaleMeDown is a recommended view if you wish to build the Micro WEBBiT. The model is not intended for beginners and is small and fast. We would like to extend our thanks to ScaleMeDown for making the Micro WEBBiT 3.0 possible

The video is too long to publish on eBay and we are unable to link direct as it is not allowed on the eBay system

But if you search ''scalemedown WEBBiT 3.0 Laser Cut Indoor / Garden RC 35th Anniversary Special''  on google you will pull up the construction video. Which is most excellent.

The Baby WEBBiT is almost as cute as Baby Yoda, but when it comes to flying it’s not a beginner’s model. Its quick and small and being good on the sticks helps. While not impossible to fly indoors ( in a large hall – 8 badminton courts and up) the model is more suitable to outdoor calm day flying. We think it’s a model that could benefit from AS3X purely because its so small it gets knocked about by the wind.

Further information

Listed on the new awful , terrible new eBay listing tool. Bring back the old tool!!

You are now in the realm of Cobbewebb eBay Exclusive Deals,

but we do have the back up of Steve Webb Models. Read On for more Info.

We combine post costs – in a 72-hour period. Either on invoice or by refund if you pay too much.
We try to dispatch within a 72 hour period. Most of the time we dispatch within a 24 hour period and many times the item is dispatched the same day as ordered. Cobbewebb eBay is not ‘staffed’ as the SWM store and we cannot guarantee same day dispatch.

We sell items for *Steve Webb Models. The items we have listed may not be available from SWM anymore. Much is culled from their old stock or returns. Please see individual listings for details.

Our postage rates are not the same as the regular SWM Store & eBay as our listings are costed differently and are very much exclusive Cobbewebb Deals for SWM.

That’s not to say if you are a regular customer of SWM and you wish to collect the item from the SWM store - We can organised collections, but you must pre-arrange it with us via eBay as otherwise you will arrive at the SWM store and be disappointed as the item might not be available there to be collected without prior arrangement. A Very much still trading  Specialist RC Store getting modellers through the lockdown! and Beyond Covid with the supplies they need.

SWM – Who? & ServoShop? Is that the same company?

Who is SWM? Your kidding? Maybe not. In which case SWM is Steve Webb Models, established 1987 and is a family run specialist model store. One of the last true specialist model stores in the UK.

ServoShop was conceived 2002 and went live on the net in 2004. It now boasts over 9000 listings 7500 which are currently active either as in stock or supplier stock or to order stock.

Many of our latest Cobbewebb listings are listed by a variety of people, there’s no longer one person dealing with Cobbewebb on eBay.  We hope to develop the Cobbewebb RC Planet Store to carry lots of hard to get old stock items. Auctions and B*u*y it N*o*w*s (BINS). When the item is by Auction it will not be ended early for sale outside the Auction. Auctions are 5, 7 and 10 days. If buying lots of Auctions in a 72-hour period, please wait for us to send an invoice and combine your postage for you. We can combine Auctions easier than BINS, with BINS we will have to refund excess postage charged. See Combining Postage.

Steve Webb Models also have a separate Steve Webb Models eBay account. We regret we cannot combine with that account due to being in different address's

Cobbewebb are stand alone listings with SWM's Back Up.

Combining Postage.

The eBay selling Platform is not the easiest to combine postage costs. It is not beneficial to eBay to be easy as they promote FREE Postage or Postage Included listings because that way, they can get a commission on any postage content of the listing. Sometimes listings with postage costs may be better value. BUT how to do it? If you buy items in the same 72-hour period, we will endeavour to combine postage costs. Most of the time this means you could get very many parts and listings for the cost of £4 to £6 postage. Where FREE postage items are combined with listings that charge Post the charged listings will still be charged. Even though the charge listing may now be dispatched with a Free Post item. It is the way its been costed, plus combining postage takes staff time. Most of the time with B*u*y it N*o*w’s if you purchase with the various post costs we will refund the excess post. If in doubt mail and ask us first.

Remember let us invoice you if you are combining Auctions finishing in a 72-hour period.

OVERSEAS – Do not get FREE POST options. Most of the time Overseas Post is charged at a Standard Rate World-Wide and Signed or Tracked costing between £20 and £30 for overseas listings.

Please also note our listings are in Sterling and not USD $ and that your Pay Pal should it be in the USD $ will convert the USD $ to Sterling £. It will appear (currently) to cost more in Dollars because Sterling (the pound £) is worth more than USD $. It is not us increasing a price.

We are not responsible for import duties and levies and charges made my carrier companies delivering items to overseas. We will not revise values to avoid help the buyer avoid custom charges, it is illegal for us to do this and so please do not ask.

We can combine postage for over seas listings in much the same way we do for UK listings. See Combining Postage.

Feedback

Wevalue your feedback. Especially positive because Negative and Neutral Feedback affect our seller ratings and our fee’s. We are going to trial the new Cobbewebb listings with many 2nd class standard post, although occasionally we will also use 48 hours tracked. There is no signature with tracked postage, so if an item is claimed not to be delivered and it is shown to be tracked to your address, we regret that you may not be invited to further Cobbewebb listings. We are hoping for eBay member honesty. It is well known that some members dine out for free by claiming no delivery. If you are honest there is nothing to worry about. In the past standard post items have failed because of claims of no delivery.
That said if you genuinely have not got an item, we would rather have the chance to sort it out than receive Negative Feedback and we ask for you to give us the chance to sort out any issues before you leave feedback.
Ask the Seller Feature – Use it anytime. We try to get messages answered within 24 hours.
Ask the seller a question at any time. You are welcome to call SWM by phone at any time. Mostly their will not be staff available that take care of the eBay Cobbewebb listings, but they could get a message to us. If you do call SWM ( we’d advise contact us first regard Cobbewebb eBay via the seller question feature) you must make clear to the SWM staff you are calling about a Cobbewebb listing or you will have them looking for an item on the steve_webb_models eBay and they wont find it. WE CANNOT Combine SWM eBay and COBBEWEBB postage listings. Its too complex, in different physical venues and different staff.
