FURNITURE IN AMERICA by Luke Vincent Lockwood was published 1921 in NY by
Charles Scribner's Sons, New and Greatly Enlarged Edition in 2 volumes Set.
Burgundy cloth with gray lettering on spine. 641 total pp
(334 pp. + 307 pp). 867 BW plates. Title page states: New and greatly enlarged
edition; with eight hundred and sixty-seven illustrations of representative
pieces. Vol. I have an eighteen-page introduction followed by the following
chapters: Chests, Chests of Drawers, Cupboards and Sideboards, Desks and
Scrutories, Looking-Glasses. Vol. II has the following chapters: Chairs;
Settees, Couches and Sofas; Tables; Bedsteads; and Clocks. The profuse illustrations
add a great deal to this excellent reference.
In Good Vintage condition. Light cover rubbing and Some wear to extremities. Slightly soiling
along edges Interior lightly toned and there is
some foxing to the pages. Binding tight and
intact.
Cosmetic condition is
as clearly and accurately shown in the high-definition pictures provided.

Overall, a rarity, and very uncommon. A
really great History Book set to add to any good collection
of Western Americana.
