Vintage set Nursery Rhyme Figures Hand Painted in Wooden Tray 11" x 9.25" x 1"

Set contains a Mermaid, Sheperdess (Little Bo Peep), a one-legged toy soldier, and various other whimsical figures and objects. THey are hand-painted, and the two pieces I could remove are seen in a photograph which shows how they are hand painted on all sides. 

This item is in excellent vintage condition. Part of the original cellophane is still in place, so I will not remove the pieces to see if there is an identification for brand or maker. These pieces don't appear to have been played with, but there may be a few pieces missing, as the schematic on the paper under the pieces seems to indicate a goose that may be missing, and one or two small pieces that are in the area where the plastic is torn away at the bottom right corner.
