New Listing! Pittsburgh PATransit PCC 1745 is at Gateway Station, the inner station of the new Downtown Subway, working line 47D-Drake, on January 31, 1990. 1745 was one of four 17090s that received new wiring, and this extended its service life six more years (all un-rewired 1700s were retired suddenly in late 1987 following a disastrous runaway accident in the Mt. Washington Tunnel). The last Pittsburgh PCCs operated in 1999.
