AzureFilm ABS Plus filament is an Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene filament. It has been specially developed for applications that require good impact and heat resistance.

ABS filament was one of the first 3D materials to be used with industrial 3D printers. To this day it is still a very popular filament due to its low cost and good mechanical properties. Its advantages also include temperature stability and better flexibility than PLA.

A model 3D printed with ABS Plus Azurefilm can withstand up to 85°C, making ABS a great choice for outdoor or high temperature applications.

ABS is therefore mainly indicated for professional use and is very often used for the production of prototypes.

We recommend printing AzureFilm's ABS Plus filament with closed chamber, heatbed 3D printers. In this way you can control the temperature avoiding sudden changes or drafts that can cause retraction or cracks during the printing process.

It can be used for example on FDM 3D printers such as Voron, Ultimaker, Zortrax, FlashForge, Creality and similar printers.

Notes to pay attention to for printing Azurefilm ABS Plus

• ABS is a material sensitive to temperature changes during printing and deforms easily


• It is a 3D printing filament suitable for closed chamber printers with a heated bed


• ABS can form cracks during the printing process, so pay attention to the parameters of the heated bed and fan cooling.


• During the printing process, fumes with an unpleasant smell are formed. The fumes contain styrene so we recommend printing with a closed chamber 3D printer with adequate fume management. We also recommend placing the 3D printer in a well-ventilated place.

Recommended print settings

We recommend the following print settings for printing Azurefilm ABS Plus 3D printing filament:

• Suggested printing temperature: 225-245°C
• Suggested print bed temperature: 90-110°C
• Suggested print speed: 50 –100 mm/s
• Print bed type: glass (normal, tempered or borosilicate), Kapton tape, Blue tape, Lokbuild, PEI

We recommend using a sticker to avoid the warping effect. The most suitable fixing agents for printing ABS are Dimafix Spray and Dimafix Pen.

Note: The settings shown above serve as a guide to finding the optimal print settings. These ranges in the settings should work for most printers, but feel free to experiment outside these parameters if you think it's right for your printer. There are so many different types of printers, hotends and offset printers that it is extremely difficult to provide one general setting that fits all.
