Up for sale is a very rare ancient Egyptian coptic fragment from 4th to 9th century.
This lovely woven linen and wool fabric features a gorgeous lace design and once resided in the Louvre museum. It can be located in the Pierre du Bourguet book" The Coptic Fabrics of the Louvre Museum".
It is set in a matting and under a plastic cover.
The fragment measures 22 inches long by 3 inches thick.
It is a bit linger than displayed.
