Hi, thanks for taking a look!  Please check out all of the Diverters and Kits in the main shop by clicking on “j-compost-toilets,” then click on “see all items” at the top of the listing pages.  There are a number of different Kits, Diverters and accessories available for different custom set-ups :)

Check out the NEW XL Diverter in my main shop!

Composting Toilet Urine Diverter turns your RV, Tiny Home, Boat, Outhouse, Cabin or favorite getaway bathroom into an affordable composting toilet.

The only Patent-Pending Urine Diverters designed to work with 5 gallon bucket set-ups! Though they are not limited to 5 gallon bucket set-ups, providing great flexibility, their unique design allows for maximum clearance for your bucket and solid waste. Other diverter styles impede your bucket, causing: you to dump the solids more often; have your bucket off-center, making your toilet housing enclosure way larger than necessary and compromised; they are bulky to the point your bucket will be far from the seat causing messy problems. Not with ours!

This makes for the most compact compost toilet set-up!

This is for a DIY homemade composting toilet, Luggable Loo (or similar), Hassock Potty (or similar) or outhouse.  Perfect for snap on toilet seats to make a portable compost toilet!  It is a urine diverter, which separates liquids from solids, sending the liquid waste to a separate collection container within the bucket (our other diverters send the liquid outside of the main bucket).  This makes for the most compact composting toilet.  The diverter hangs on the rim of the bucket and drains into the bucket, to a collection container, or can drain outside of the bucket through a hole (see images).  Solids can be collected in a bag or other vessel and the liquid goes into a separate container, all within the bucket (or outside the bucket).  This design is for a compact set up and can be used with snap on toilet seats, such as the Luggable Loo, Hassock Potty, etc.  URINE DIVERTER ONLY, hoses and tubes not included. Optional Ventilation Attachment sold separately, please check out the main shop!  Urine Diverter works with .75" I.D. tubing that runs to a collection container (IMPORTANT: be sure the end of the tube, where the liquid exits, does not get submerged in the liquid along with the suggestion of using plumber/Teflon tape and a hose clamp to secure the tube to the diverter).  Check my store for tubing availability or .75" tubing can be purchased at most hardware stores.  Please message me with any questions!

-“Bucket-Contained Diverter” (the most compact compost toilet set-up, hangs on rim of bucket, drains inside or outside of bucket, this model)

-“Mounted-Diverter” model (mounts to underside of toilet seat, other model)

-“Snap-On” model (snaps on top without cutting bucket with optional ventilation attachment, other model)

-"In-Bucket” Version 1 and Version 2 models with integrated ventilation (cuts into bucket, other models)

--all work with or without bags

Made using High-Speed Industrial Additive (3D) Manufacturing Equipment.

Use Example:

It's for a homemade style of composting toilet to replace the toilet in an rv, tiny house, off-grid homestead, tent/car camping, cabin, outhouse or what have you. In an rv, you can now open both tank gates and keep the cap on and double your grey tank while using no water for the toilet, more time in the woods without having to run to town. We put a 13 gallon bag in a 5 gallon bucket, sprinkle organic matter under and over the "business", we use those giant bags of cedar chips meant for gerbil bedding for the sprinkles (some use coconut husk, sawdust, etc.), and the urine diverter will collect the liquid in a separate container outside or within the bucket, sharing space with the solids bag. Build a housing around it and install a toilet seat or use with a toilet such as the Luggable Loo or Hassock Potty. The liquid and solid separation takes care of the smell and a ventilation attachment may help, too. It makes everything less stinky and way easier to dispose of. Drain the liquid once every one or two days and the take out the bag once a week with the trash or compost it. Works in setups with or without bags, or in an outhouse, as well.

Thank you!
