Ceramic Media Rings

These purely biological ceramic media rings are highly effective and are a long lasting filter material for use in your aquarium filter system. The rings provide a preferred habitat for degradative bacteria and other similar microorganisms that may be present in your aquarium water. The media is shaped like a ring to assist in providing a surface area large enough to promote excellent water flow. These rings can be used in Salt and Fresh Water systems.

Bio Carbon

Bio Carbon, sometimes called Active Carbon, is a great media 100% natural substance to help clear aquarium water of contaminated dyes, metals and chemicals which in turn can effect the clarity of the water as well as the purity. This can effect the health of the fish in the system. Adding these Bio Carbon elements to a filter can help to remove any contaminants. These pelletized carbons can be used in fresh and salt water aquariums and absorb the toxic waste present through their large pores.

Bio Balls

These plastic 26mm diameter balls contain inside them small pieces of filter foam that help catch the harmful bacteria present in the aquarium water. The large surface area then creates an area for the "benefical" bacteria to colonise and work to break down the harmful bacteria like Nitrates and Nitrites. This all helps in producing better water quality for the fish.

Bio Beads

These 5 -10mm bio beads do the same job as the bioballs helping to breakdown the bad bacteria in aquarium water by promoting the growth of good bacteria.

Filter Wool

This Fine Filter wool comes in 200g bags enabling you to use as much as you need in your filter. The wool effectively traps any harmful debris in the water and in turn helps to provide crystal clear water. The wool can be used in any aquarium filter system and can be washed and reused.
