Steel blue & white printed tile with a design by Helen J A Miles. Old English series of 12 calendar months.

This tile is titled August and depicts a young lady in her bonnet and apron feeding the chickens.

Can you spot the swallow leaving it's nest ?

A fabulous summer scene.

It's in excellent condition with just one imperfection near the bottom edge and one minute nibble close to right bottom corner.

Some light crazing which is only noticeable on the background outer edge.

All framed with an aesthetic border and finished with a nice translucent glaze.

Has a nice clean back with the embossed manufacturers mark JOSIAH WEDGWOOD & SONS ETRURIA.
