TSUMCORITE w/ CONICHALCITE: Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia. Dimensions: 3.3 x 2.4 x 1.8 cm, miniature. This miniature contains dozens of yellowish brown, 3 to 5mm rounded, tight radial aggregates of Tsumcorite. The display face is richly covered in Tsumcorite botryoids on a substrate of dark greenish Conichalcite and the piece sits nicely for display. Some of the spheres show their internal structure with variegated yellow-brown and greenish. A few a botryoids show slight rubbing. Tsumcorite is a very rare lead-zinc arsenate hydrate and Conichalcite is a relatively common calcium-copper arsenate. The Conichalcite is best exposed on the backside of the specimen. Although Tsumcorite has been found at other localities, Tsumeb is the type and best locality for the species! This is a very good and very rich piece! Buyer pays USPS Priority Mail shipping.
