Uses- The uses of linseed oil are endless such as sealing concrete, paint additives in oil based paints both artistic and commercial, ink production, soap making, linoleum, wood, brick & metals and much more.
How to use- Wipe the oil on the wood liberally and rub it on with hands. wipe off the excess and then keep rubbing it in with the hands. permit the oiled wood to set over night. the next day rub the oiled wood with the hands. Linseed oil is not toxic, and not harmful to the touch.
LCD oil is double boiled linseed, for finishing wood it is not necessary to dilute with mineral spirits. The mineral spirits does not remain compatible with Linseed oil and will eventually coagulate and ultimately cloud the finish. Just apply as is no problem.
Normally, the linseed oil will eventually polymerize (dry). One can repeat the process until the desired degree of sheen is achieved.
