CONDITION: This lovely Blue Opalescent Fenton Dot Optic vase was listed as a #184-8" vase. It was also sold to Koscherack Bros. Koscherack Bros was an importing and distributing company.  In the 1940s, due to the war, they turned to Fenton and other American companies for some of their glassware.  They also purchased glass from L.G. Wright, and as a result, acquired more pieces that had been made by Fenton originally.  Our lovely #184 tri-crimped vase was probably sold both by Koscherack Bros. and directly by The Fenton Art Glass Company. This vase has amazing color and is beautifully crimped and shaped.  The vase is in  Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage.   The opalescence is outstanding.  There is no residue or sickness to the glass.

Dot Optic or Coin Spot made its first appearance in the Fenton line in the 1908. Early pieces Fenton 1940s Dot Optic / Coin Dot Vase Bottomincluded a pitcher and tumbler combining to form a water set, in French Opalescent, Blue Opalescent, and Green Opalescent. In the early 1930s several different styles of lamps were produced in the Dot Optic pattern.  In the late 1930s to mid-1940s numerous other pieces were made in this pattern in French Opalescent, Green Opalescent, Blue Opalescent, Cranberry Opalescent, and Topaz Opalescent. In addition to producing Dot Optic pieces for the regular line, Fenton also made numerous pieces for private companies in colors and molds similar to, or the same as those used by Fenton.  Dot, a pattern made for L.G. Wright, is one of the more frequently found patterns.
