Antique Wallingford CT Mining Brass Time Check Tag  Connecticut Trap Rock Co

This time check was an early way of "checking in" while the miner was underground or at work.  This gave the boss a way of knowing who was at work or not.   In the early 1900's this was a way of "clocking in and out".

The Connecticut Trap Rock Co. operated stone quarries in Rocky Hill, Meriden, and Wallingford, CT.
