Up for sale, a 1990s Morris B-50 12-string dreadnought acoustic guitar in near-mint, 100% original condition and perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. An expertly crafted Japanese-made dreadnought, this vintage Morris acoustic features a rich tonal profile and classic Martin-style appointments, with a unique three-piece back and central third of figured chestnut in the spirit of a D-35. Additional aesthetic touches include an abalone rosette and top binding, hexagonal inlay on the rosewood board, and vertical "TF Morris" headstock inlay. The tonewood complement includes an X-braced spruce top, jacaranda sides, three-piece jacaranda/chestnut back, and a mahogany neck capped with an ebony fretboard. Measuring 15 5/8” across the lower bout and  4 5/8” deep, this square shoulder dreadnought has a bright, crisp tonal profile, well-suited to the jangle and shimmer of a 12-string. The bass register is tight and snappy, and the instrument has quite a bit of midrange breadth and warmth too. Weighing 5lbs 5oz, this Morris has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh strings and comfortable action. The mahogany neck has a very chunky C-shaped profile carve with round shoulders in every register, measuring .920” deep at the 1st fret and 1.040” at the 9th. The bound ebony fretboard features 14 frets clear of the body, with abalone hexagon inlays and practically perfect slender fretwire. The scale measures a full 25 5/8” in length, and the nut is 1 7/8” in width. The bound headstock has a rosewood veneer and vertical TF Morris inlay. The Morris-branded tuners turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch with bright chrome plating. The spruce top is accented by multi-ply abalone binding and an abalone rosette. The ebony bridge sits flush with the spruce top on all edges, and the saddle has plenty of height for future adjustment. The bold gloss Sunburst (or "Shaded Top") finish is remarkably well-kept, with cosmetic wear limited to a scant few light finish scratches and microscopic marks on the body as a whole, and light pick scuffing across the multi-ply black pickguard. The satin finish on the neck profile feels extremely smooth in the palm. The original hardshell case is included.
