(AS IS) Mostly-Working Emerson AM/FM Dual Cassette Turntable/Record Player, shipped with cheapest shipping option for buyer’s convenience.

This is a mostly working Emerson M2700 35 watt Receiver AM/FM DUAL Cassette and record player all-in-one combo that was obtained by a family member that no longer wants it.

It is quite clean and does not look like it has been mishandled or misused in any way.

It has simply deteriorated over time and lack of use.

This receiver would work well for someone who only needs it for the basic radio and tape player, or for someone who may know how to fix it.

Radio comes in very clear!

RIGHT CHANNEL IS VERY VERY QUIET!

Basically no sound comes from the right channel unless you turn it up to max volume, and even then, it’s only a small amount.

This unit functions on both the AM/FM radio and somewhat also on both Cassette Decks A and B.

The cassettes function as long as you are able to get the ‘SELECTOR’ knob correctly on the A or B cassette option. The knob seems to sometimes need to be jiggled upwards towards the correct cassette selection to fully engage the sound to the speakers.

You may notice this while selecting a cassette, but don’t worry, it’s pretty easy to get it in the right spot.

Cassette deck A has a ton of issues, it will play, but anything played in it will not sound nearly as clear as cassette B, not sure if it is like this because it is meant for dubbing. Cassette A does not rewind, and will only fast-forward for a couple seconds before stopping.

Definitely not suggested to use this one, or maybe to repair it.

Cassette B basically works fine.

Put a tape in and press play!

Have however ran into the occasional issue where it will only rewind or fast forward if a tape was previously on PLAY. Never really an issue though.

The record player is VERY hard to spin and will obviously not spin under its own power, so this should either be repaired or not be turned on in order to not wear out the motor.

Also not sure if this has a needle installed, but does also seem like that may need a replacement as well.

So, this unit DOES NOT PLAY RECORDS unless you can repair the record player part to it.

ALSO does not come with the top clear plastic part or speakers.
