These vintage John O’London Weekly magazines are a wonderful resource of literature and book reviews, with additional articles about art and English use. There are also poems and short stories - this was the leading literary publication that aimed to introduce new books and recommendations on books to read.

In this issue:
  • Letters to Gog & Magog by John O’London, Junior: The Eye of Youth
  • Unknown America by S. K. Ratcliffe – Graham Hutton
  • A Pilgrim with a Smile by Trevor Allen – Sir Harry Brittain
  • The 3rd Programme – In Favour by Allan M Laing; Against by James R Jeffery – BBC Third Programme
  • What Young Germany Wants by Margaret Willy – Stephen Spender
  • Musicians and Their Ways by Sidney Harrison
  • What Makes A Good Book Illustration? By John Farleigh
  • Short Story: The Fair by Ronald R Smith

The magazine is printed on newsprint, measuring appoximately 30cm by 25cm, with pages 74 - 98

THE MAGAZINE WILL BE SENT FOLDED.

Condition: The magazine is in rather tatty condition, showing reading wear and some creasing to the covers, plus the paper is fragile and tanned with age with some brown spotting and the staples have completely rusted making the pages loose and staining the paper. The magazine has been folded and will be sent folded. There is a newsagents delivery name written on the front cover in pencil. Given that the magazine is over 70 years old, its condition is reasonable, but certainly not perfect! The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns, and if you’d like any further information, just ask!
