 Round back to bevel edge. This is a hard stone with a large bevel narrowing to a smaller bevel. It is a unique file as the round back edge tapers also.

These stones are used for sharpening and maintaining woodworking, carving, and various other tools.  They are also used by metal workers, gunsmiths, etc.

This is a natural Arkansas sharpening stone which is found only around Hot Springs, Arkansas. The stone is novaculite and is the finest natural abrasive stone available. It has superior sharpening characteristics that will actually polish the edge as it sharpens.
