Bullet resistant package exchange units are used to pass objects through a barrier securely. The stainless steel interlocking bar mechanism will only allow 1 door to be opened at a time. The automatic hydraulic door closers make sure the doors close by themselves, allowing store personnel to access the interior of the box without requesting that someone on the other side manually close their door firmly. Plastic laminate finished base.

Doors are hinged on the same side of the unit, giving a choice between both doors hinged on the left or the right depending on which way the unit is installed. Exterior Size: 14"wide x 14"deep x 14"high. Interior clear opening size: 9"wide x 11 1/4"deep x 8 1/2" high. The outside top edges of the sides have a 1/2" radius to match up with routed rounded corners in the hole made through the barrier for the passer.

The package exchange unit is made from 1 3/8” UL 2 (357mag handgun) bullet resistant acrylic with an Abrasion Resistant Coating, 40 times more resistant to abrasions than uncoated acrylic.  Polycast SAR by Spartech Polycast, Made in the USA.

All package exchange units of this mechanical design type are intended for occasional usage, 10-20 times per day, for 10-20 years. ARMI uses stainless steel interlocking bars to extend the life of the unit far past what the aluminum bars used by some others might provide. But higher usage rates or rough treatment by customers or employees will still result in a shorter useful life.
