APPLE MACBOOK PRO A1286 15" INTEL CORE i5 500GB HDD 4GB RAM.

Condition is "Faulty but working - See Below for details".

Please be aware of the following faults/issues with this laptop before deciding to bid as returns cannot be accepted.

1. The keyboard and trackpad are not recognised/working so you will need to use an external USB keyboard and mouse toniperate device

2. Only 1 of the USB ports recognises devices  (The one closest to the power port)

3. The battery no longer charges so will need to be replaced to make this portable.

4. The built in SD card reader is not recognised

5. One of the rubber feet is missing

6. Some of the paint has faded away on the casing (See photos)

7. The original 320GB SSD has been replaced with a 500GB HDD so whilst storage capacity is increased, boot up time is reduced

8. Whilst not a fault, the keyboard is European, not UK as laptop was originally purchased in Denmark.

Despite these issues, this is still a working Mac albiet not portable and some features will need to rely on USB connections such as the keyboard, mouse and memory card reader. NOTE: There are 2 ports between the USB and power port that  I could not test.

Whilst I'm no MAC expert, at the time of listing, this mac does power up and I have been able to confirm the following features as working:

1. Display

2. Optical drive

3  Sound / Speakers

4. 1 USB port

5. Headphone sockets

6. Power port and power button (Comes with a new power supply)

7. WIFI

8. Webcam

Due to the issues stated above I am selling as Spares and Repairs with no returns, Apple will no longer fix this model but if you are tech savvy you may be able to fix the issues yourself to make this fully functional again, if not you have a slimline desktop computer at least.

Buyer accepts that this device is being sold as faulty.
