Henry C. Porter (1921 - 2009) lived most of his life in New York and Georgia.
He studied painting at the Academy of Arts in Newark, NJ,
and graphic design and illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. 
A career of over 30 years as a fine artist, a calling to which
he would devote himself to full-time after moving to Kennesaw, GA. 
As an artist he found acclaim for his polished figurative paintings.
The artist and his work have appeared in publications like Black Enterprise and US Art.
His work can be found in public and private collections -
Mobil Oil, Sears Roebuck, H.J. Reynolds, Bill Cosby,
Melvin Van Peebles, the model Iman and the late Sammy Davis, Jr.

in pre-owned, good condition.
