Goodness me- this is a very beautiful child! Though pictured standing up, she is actually a bent-knee baby, with a very fine dewy face and light pink blush. She has a super cheery character face, with an open/closed mouth with molded tongue- we have seen similar heads like hers marked with the ABG mark, but this child only has her mold mark of 150 (which is an ABG mold number, so there's that). It's our personal opinion she is by Alt Beck and Gottschalk, but really, she could be by any of the finer dollmakers like K*R or even Hertwig.Please check our other auctions, as we have a small but select group of other vintage items and antique dolls up for auction this week!

Marionettejilly is not a big ol' corporation. We are actually pretty nice folks, with an interest in antiques, fighting upstream against inflation and the economy just like everyone else. In the rare event that there is a problem with an item, just sit back, take a deep breath, and tell us about it calmly. We have not set out to scam you. Chill. All the policies below are just because a couple of folks in the past decided to be meanies. We know you're not like that- we certainly aren't.
Here at Marionettejilly, we try to be accurate with our descriptions- but we aren’t perfect, and we may have missed something that’s important to you-- so ask before an auction ends! We sell mostly vintage and antique items, with wear and the ravages of time as to be expected.
Do not expect our vintage items to be in new or like new condition- many of our items are fragile, played with, and many are over 100 years old.
AND---- many of our items have been in storage for years, so if you are allergic to dust, or sensitive to certain scents or smells, we do not recommend purchasing vintage items. Use your own good common sense, and expect an item to have a unique patina and history all its own- with imperfections inherent in antique pieces!
Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 5 pm, Eastern Standard Time. We cannot answer emails unless they come through the Ebay message system- this protects both parties. Emails received after these hours will be answered as promptly as is possible on the next business day. Please do not expect a response during the weekend- with any luck we are out doing something fun, far far away from the computer!

There are no exceptions to this policy, and we will report unscrupulous buyers.
Our shipping represents not only postage but also time, gas, packing materials, and, as of July 2011, the Final Value Fee that Ebay charges to shipping. We do flat rate shipping so that buyers know in advance what shipping will be before a bid is placed; please be aware that we do not barter about shipping once an item has ended.
We ship most items anywhere in the world, and yes, we will combine shipping on multiple wins.

And, as a final note to the patient people who have bothered to read everything so far: Sorry if we sound crabby. Sometimes people can be so petty and unreasonable it can break your heart. We've had a run of rather awful experiences this season- let's hope it ends soon, before we lose the rest of our hair, our jolly perspective on life in general, and our much-needed sense of humor!!!
