Early round dark patina on brass box, with a reverse painted glass
picturing a young woman in period dress with pearls and hat
adorned with roses. The glass has some haze in the back round.
The image of the woman is very good. The edge between the box
and the glass shows a light seam c. 1780 - 1820 French
