Frozen bloodworm or blood worm are readily accepted as a natural prey item by nearly all fish and are suitable for both freshwater and marine varieties.
Our frozen bloodworm (also commonly referred to as “midge larvae”) are harvested from freshwater lakes.
It is inevitable that some thawing will take place in transit: simply place them in your freezer as soon as you receive them and they’ll be fine to feed to your fish as soon as they’re frozen again. All our food is Gamma iradiated which stops it going off for a very long time after being thawed out.
These are sent out on a 24-hour Royal Mail service, please ensure somebody will be present to take receipt and put these in the freezer on arrival!
