Up for sale, a 1967 Gibson ES-330TD in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hangtags, receipt, and Lifton hardshell case. A stunningly well-preserved vintage Gibson, the guitar is 100% original with all paperwork and provenance.

Highlighting both the clarity and note attack of maple and the smooth, airy quality of the fully hollow construction, this Gibson has a sweet natural acoustic tone that translates well through the pickups. The P-90s have a glassy sparkle and dynamic, percussive cut with a rich, textured midrange character and plenty of bark when you dig in. And while the bridge pickup has a snappier, slightly more aggressive quality, the neck pickup is big and broad, retaining the articulation necessary for complex chording. The guitar is featherweight at 5lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action and spot-on intonation.

The one-piece mahogany neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve at the nut with additional heft and shoulder further up the fretboard, measuring .845" deep at the 1st fret and 1.020" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard has small block inlay and flawless original medium jumbo fretwire which retains its full factory height and well-rounded crowns. The guitar plays cleanly up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nylon nut measures 1 9/16" in width, and on the headstock, the original Kluson Deluxe double line tuners turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

The electronics have untouched solder joints and stock tone caps visible through the treble side F hole. The chrome-plated hardware is positively gleaming, including the ABR-1 bridge with correct foundry stamp on the base and nylon saddles. The chrome pickup covers and trapeze tailpiece round out the hardware, and the plastic parts are near-mint, with black witch hat knobs and the narrow-bevel five-ply pickguard which has a glossy sheen.

The three-tone Sunburst nitro lacquer gloss finish is bold and unfaded, exhibiting vertical lacquer checking on the body. Cosmetic wear is limited to a bit of faint scuffing in the clear coat central to the back, and light pick scuffing across the guard. The smooth nitro gloss is retained on the neck profile length, with one very shallow mark on the treble side of the carve behind fret 10 that doesn’t distract the palm while fretting.

The original hangtags are included, along with two receipts from Matthew's Music Co, one of which is for this ES-330, and both addressed to the original owner, "Edward Bull." The Lifton hardshell case with black pebble tolex and gold interior is included and equally as clean as the guitar. The case has its original tag from Matthews Music Co, labeled with Ed Bull's name.
