I have made a few 4.5" large trackballs Atari like replacements. I have tried to copy the original aluminum construction with modern optic PCB boards. I have a direct replacement that I use with my original Missile Command PCB. I also have a version of the same high quality for 1/2" thick panels and a different one for 3/4" panel. I really like the large trackball for feel and precision. It also allows for some interesting options, you can use candlepin bowling balls that have some interesting designs, actual stone spheres that are 4.5", Happ makes some translucent colored balls ( could light from below ).

Let me know if original steel, 1/2" thick or 3/4" thick control panel.  If you don't want to use my ball, you can choose that option.   These ended up being way to labor intensive and expensive to make so I will start with one of each.

***Assemblies for 1/2" or 3/4" thick panels now have an option that just shows a ring around the ball, if you use hanger bolts.   You can get the ring in blue, red, silver or black.    The picture showing this installed is my unit with a silver ring in a 1/2" thick panel.   In my case I used black flat head screws to mount and not hanger bolts***

***Units will be tested fully assembled and then the Optic PCBs and Wheels will be removed for shipping.    The units with the ball are just too difficult to ship without damaging these parts.   See video on how to adjust.   https://youtu.be/sPd7WN5QCOA

***Price went up for units with ball, since new balls are costing more than double since old stock is gone.    Keep in mind you can purchase unit without ball and get a translucent ball on Ebay.   They are currently available from another vendor.***

***No Ball option has Optic Wheels and Optic PCBs-IF OUT OF STOCK SEND ME A NOTE OF WHAT YOU WANT-STEEL PANEL, 1/2" PANEL OR 3/4" PANEL***These ended up too labor intensive so I might stop making them***

Review from Youtube: First off this is the real deal. I will post a video of mine. It is actually smoother than the original. Piece of cake to put in. I bought a yellow Happ ball. Jay went above and beyond setting my track ball for me. It is 100% quiet. All new technology. All you have to do is follow the wiring. I honestly have to say it is better than the Atari original being that it has new tech parts. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a track ball and cannot find one for the 4.5 game or smaller.
