Framed photograph of male and female students dressed in their best and holding their diplomas in front of a school. "MHS 1921" and "Welker" are the text. When I first acquired this, it had a piece of masking tape with the name "Aunt Alice" and arrow pointing to Alice attached to the glass. I have since removed it, but included a photo with it on the glass, to identify Alice...and will include the piece of tape when I ship this.

I was told the school was the then fairly new (1896) Middletown High School in Middletown, CT, and my research has since confirmed this (The magnificent Romanesque Revival building still stands, although I believe today it is Senior Housing). "Welker" was the photographer Oscar B Welker (1875-1940), who also served stints as City Councilman and Treasurer, and was President of Welker Manufacturing Co. of Middleport and Cromwell, CT

The frame measures about 21 3/4" x 8". Photo is under glass.

Condition: Nice condition, however, there is some minor damage to the top left corner of the frame and the bottom right corner, which does not prevent this from being displayed. Photo itself is very nice.
