New, Old Store Stock. Vintage 1982 Beatrix Potter Jeremy Fisher Hanging Ornament from Schmid.  Never used. In Excellent condition for its age. Free of cracks, chips, stains, and crazing.

Hand-painted polished glaze ornament. The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher is about Jeremy Fisher a frog who lives in a "slippy-sloppy" house at the edge of a pond. One rainy day he collects worms for fishing, and sets off across the pond on his lily-pad boat. All of the Schmid ornaments are retired as Schmid & Company closed its doors in 1995.

The shiny glaze covers the “Jeremy Fisher the frog” and shows off the soft beautiful shade of the frogs black speckled light brown body. He is sitting on a lovely moss green lily pad. Original tag is still attached to the original gold cord of this ornament. It is stamped on the back “c FW Co 1982” and has the red Schmid sticker. “Jeremy Fisher” was originally purchased for my store as part of my Beatrix Potter Schmid collection in 1985.
This 1982 ornament is in excellent condition and is considered new as it was never sold. The rare ornament will brighten any child’s holiday tree or a great gift for the discriminating Beatrix Potter collector.
