A Complete expansion contains 140 cards and 18 diffraction foil cards.

Menace of Darth Maul was the first expansion card pack of the Young Jedi Collectible Card Game produced by Decipher, released on May 12, 1999. It was based around Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, specifically elements relating to the planet of Tatooine. Many of the cards were yellow-bordered, the color assigned to the planet of Tatooine. Only a few cards (like Darth Sidious, Boss Nass and related Gungans) were actually different color.
