Lively landscape by prolific American "plein air" watercolor artist Cecile Rydon Johnson who developed her modern style of landscapes in California and started painting landscapes there in the late 1940s. In the 1950s she traveled extensively and painted her voyages. This series were from The Bahamas and was framed in Carmel by the Sea in the very early 1960s in a simple but detailed walnut frame and the glass, frame and print are all great quality and have no cosmetic issues that are not appropriate for the piece's age.
