The locomotive model is equipped with a four-pin electrical coupling on one side. Using a DIP switch, the power consumption can be switched between the locomotive and the ROCO Railjet control car (only in the version with electric clutch) for push-pull train operation.

In order to communicate this wonderful initiative as broadly as possible, the most obvious and eye-catching advertising medium was chosen: The Federal Ministry for “Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology” is cooperating with ÖBB and WESTbahn to cover a Railjet and a KISS -Train train in a special design.

Just in time for the introduction of the “KlimaTicket”, the “testimonials” weighing tons rolled onto the rails to promote the campaign in Austria and neighboring countries, as the Railjet trains run to Frankfurt am Main, among other places.

In addition, the model itself is a small “climate protector”: Together with “wald4leben”, ROCO will have a tree planted in the Raabs an der Thaya region in Lower Austria for every piece sold in autumn 2022.
