The Kestner 154 is an iconic antique doll and this 15 inch size is perfect for anyone who wants to own or collect the the Kestner 154 Doll for themselves or gift her to another.  She is the perfect cabinet size to fit into that special place in your display case or on a shelf, or to squeeze into that little place you have been saving for "just the right one."  Well, this one is definitely a doll that can be "the right one" in so many ways!

Let me tell you how this doll is so special.  Again, we love her because she is this great medium size doll that is completely perfect for display on a shelf or even to sit her on a small doll chair.  She has lovely brown glass sleep eyes. (These will be taped for shipment so the mechanism does not bounce around enroute) These open and close easily, but the eyelid wax has worn off.  She has an antique blonde human hair wig that has been cleaned and conditioned.  It is long with curls at the ends.                             

The doll is dressed in a light blue crepe dress with a white lace overlay.  Across the bodice, the lace overlay poufs out in two layers, and is styled into a deep V.  Beneath this, the lace is fashioned in stripes down the length of the dress, while the sleeves are left just with the plain light blue crepe. At the very bottom, is the horizontal slash of a lace flounce all around the hemline. The affect is very pretty: the blue crepe dress still peeps through the white lace, giving the overall affect that the dress is blue, but it is muted by the white, like the sky through a snowfall.  She is wearing a white net crinoline, which helps the dress stand out in a fetching manner.  Her pantalettes are made of embroidered Broderie Angelaise material with you can see in a close up in Photos 11 &12.  You will also note here, as well, her matching blue and white striped stockings and powdered blue shoes that match her dress.

Her pretty white straw hat features two blue paper roses, as well as white and blue silk flowers and light blue pips and green leaves.  It is fastened on to her with an antique hatpin.
