THE PRISONER
BLACK # 2 Button with Penny-Farthing Bicycle

A large 2 ¼ inch pinback button with crisp 'negative' white-on-black repro artwork of the insignia of The Village - an old-fashioned bicycle.

The Prisoner is a 17-episode British television series. Starring and co-created by Patrick McGoohan, it combined spy fiction with elements of science fiction, allegory, and psychological drama. The series follows a British former secret agent who is abducted and held prisoner in an isolated coastal village resort where his captors try to find out why he abruptly resigned from his job. In The Village, everyone has a number instead of a name, and wears a button with their number.

The button has the red number 2 (for the leader of The Village); this is based on the black-button variant used in the episode "Many Happy Returns." This Number Two is the only one in the entire series to wear a "negative" style identity badge.

Wear your Number 2 button and try to determine what Number 6 is up to!
