The 1950's saw some really unique aircraft designs. One of them being the Hiller X18 Convertiplane. Originally designed in 1955 it saw it's first test flight in 1959. It had stability issues and the engines weren't 'linked' which means if one failed the plane would crash. However the lessons learned contributed to future designs including the present day Osprey.

This is Aurora's first issue produced from the 1959 Comet tooling.
