Item Description:

French Silver-maker Christofle is an enduring symbol of luxury, elegance and prestige in the art of silver.

This item belongs to the timeless Christofle “Vendome” silverplate collection.  The shell design appeared on cutlery around 1690. This graceful embellishment is naturally inscribed on all of the elements of the decoration belonging to LOUIS XIV and Regency epochs. That holds true for the residence of the dukes of Vendôme, France, that derives its grand presence from the natural harmony of its decor. Christofle cutlery was given a prestigious name of the historic noble family line with unalterable tradition.
