Mitchell Gaudet Glass Sculpture, containing a statue of a Female Torso, mounted on a bathtub leg, on a stepped square base.  Entire piece measures 15” in height, the base is 7” x 7”.  The glass piece is 5.25” in height and 3-1/2” wide and 3” depth.  It is a heavy piece weighing over 12 lbs.  Truly an extraordinary work of art!

Mitchell Gaudet is a glass artist who uses the hot cast process to create multiples often assembled in conjunction with vintage found objects and relics.  His mixed media assemblages contain an array of symbolism with themes spanning from sacrifice, destruction, false idols and evil to that of choice, protection and pure love.  Mitchell often finds these objects at archeological sites and incorporates a found or made object as a source/starting point, surrounded by glass and steel as additional narrative elements to redefine or embellish the object as a quasi-historical object.  Mitchell studied AND taught at Pilchuck.

In overall good condition. Please note some elements are composed of "found objects" which reveal innate inconsistencies.
