This is an extemely limited promo item - only 2000 copies were produced .

The most detailed box you've ever seen.

Engraved on the lid is "The Lord of the Rings, The Motion Picture Trilogy, Relive the Journey on DVD".

Around the lid and the bottom plate there is a nice pattern that goes all the way around the box, and right below the top plate on the box there is a metal and there is also a pattern that goes all the way around the box.

Extremely wonderful details.

The inside is covered in a black velour imitation, on the back of the lid again we see the text 'The Lord of the Rings - The Motion Picture Trilogy' printed onto the velour-imitation in gold .

The lovely slipcover holds the 3 Extended Edition 12-Disc DVDs (with 3 Taiwanese OBI-strips), each one contains its booklet with Chinese info.

The set includes a pack of LOTR playing cards inside of a drawstring pouch , STILL IN SEALED CONDITION !!!

This is a very hard-to-find edition. This set probably will get harder and harder to find. Get yours now while you can. This is obviously for the die-hard LOTR Trilogy movies fan.

LOTR series has basically two types of movies- a) Theatrical and b) Extended,
Extended versions of the movies have humongous amount of extra film footage added to the theatrical editions
(approx. 30, 40 and 50 additional minutes for movie 1, 2 and 3 respectively).

This is an Extended DVD set -
For each movie they have 4 discs (2 movie discs and 2 extra features);
So total 12 discs. Sound is DTS ES 6.1, which is significantly better than regular dolby digital.
This set is probably the most gorgeous I have ever seen for any DVD.
Colorful and feature packed, it stands out in your entire collection.
