Disk

M

mint

The cover is like new, it is just no longer in its original packaging.

The disc is absolutely perfect, like new. It is no longer in its original packaging.

NM

Near Mint

Cover is near perfect, may have very minimal signs of wear. On the other hand, the artistic drawing or the photo of the cover must be as impeccable as possible.

The disc is almost perfect. Very slight light marks can be seen on the surface of the disc, but this should be really minimal. There should be no effect on the sound quality of the disc. If this is the case, even minimal, it can no longer be considered as NM or M-.

EX

Excellent

The cover may have some very discreet scratches and/or small creases.

The disc shows signs of having been played (noticeable light marks), but the loss of sound quality is practically inaudible.

VG+

Very Good +

The cover shows obvious signs of manipulation: slightly bent end, price tag, creases. But no major flaws. It may also be in perfect condition but has a punch or a beveled end.

This is the most common state of second-hand records. The discs have some scratches which do not affect the sound quality. Some crackling may be audible on very sensitive turntables.

VG

Very Good

The cover is worn with creases, marks, detachments, edge wear, discoloration, the beginning of a circular disc mark on the cover.

Signs of age are present. The disc has scratches and marks that affect the sound quality. There may be crackles and also small jumps if the disc is slightly warped.

G

Good

Cover and inner cover with many defects due to time and wear, especially on the edge and sides. They can be held in place with adhesive tape or covered with stickers.

Surface scratches are clearly visible.

B

Bad

The cover is very damaged with tears, traces and wear marks everywhere. Elements of the cover may also be missing.

The vinyl is no longer playable properly due to too many scratches and surface defects. The disc may be broken, in which case it deserves its place in a listing only if it is very rare.
