Produced by Literary Calligraphy, this original print of “I Corinthians 13” by Susan Joy is number 781 of a limited edition of 4000 and is signed by Ms. Joy and it is from her original water color. A wonderful gift for weddings and anniversaries, its text is often quoted. “Love is patient and kind…..”. Some of her other work has only a partial quote but this has the entire verse. In the center Joy chose the Rosa canina as it represents unconditional love and is a biblical rose believed to be present during the time of St. Paul. She adapted the border designs from early Christian art she discovered in Italy. It has a double matte with the top one carved in circle overlapping a square which shows the color of the under matte. Image is 151/2” X 15 ½” on 18” X 18” paper with a 23” X 23” matte. It comes with the Literary Calligraphy descriptive plate that one can affix to the dust paper after it is framed.
