This pretty little red leather card case has the  Odd fellows symbol of 3 interlocking gold rings on the  on one side. The cards inside are for F.F. Cain, Probate Judge of Erie, Kansas in Neosho County. I found quite a bit about the judge. According to the Kansas Cyclopedia of 1912, He was born in Niagara County, New York in 1844 and moved West at age 20. He ran a restaurant and bakery in Illinois, mined for several years in Montana and bought a farm in Kansas. He held several town offices there and served as postmaster.  He was also a loyal Odd Fellow. In 1910, he was elected ad Probate Judge. In 1912,  he held a hearing for an 11 year old boy who'd stolen a horse, and I found several other references to him in the 1910's -I'm not sure how long he was a judge. The 4 by 2 inch card case opens to 4 by 6 1/2 inches. There's wear on the edges of the leather, and the black fabric is soiled and dulled inside.
