HJ Cooper was co-author / illustrator of the  'Aircraft of the Fighting Powers' books in the 1940s.

This diagram is a pre-publication copy prepared as material for the books - the Aircraft name is drawn on by hand and the diagram bears his monogram - please see the final photo as an example which shows how these types diagrams appeared in the final books with the Aircraft name printed and without his monogram.

The paper used for this diagram is drawing paper and very different to the published glossy pages.
